Why Furniture Design Is Important in Construction Design(interior design)

Furnitures are objects of applied arts intended for mobile and permanent furnishing of residential interiors. Among other things, it serves for storage, work, eating, sitting lying down, sleeping and relaxing. Furniture can be used individually, in suites or sets.

Furniture enhances the great interior design in a way that ornaments and other furniture alone cannot. It makes the function of the room tangible and develops the vision of the interior designer, from simple sparkle and ornamentation to usable form. Furniture design is a specialized field where functionality and fashion collide. Many interior designers believe that furniture is one of the most important aspects of interior space.

Furniture pieces are designed and fabricated to assist in the many ways people sit and rest,
work and play, organize or display items, and partition space.

Furniture design draws upon ideas of beauty, principles of design, theory, material properties, fabrication technologies, business economies, environmental design matters, and the surrounding spatial context in
which it is placed, all of which are integral and intertwined with function, utility, and social use.

Furniture tends to be of a craft-based design  type that can be functional, decorative, symbolic, ceremonial, and so on. Many different materials are used in the manufacture of furniture, most commonly;  timber, metal, plastic, fabrics, leather, and so on. Furniture is subject to frequent changes in fashion, and tastes for furniture can vary widely from person to person.
